Racers in a transtion zone pulling climbing skins off skis preparing to ski down Clayton Peak the first climb of the 11 mile 6,500 vertical foot race. A storm postponed the race start as Brigton Ski Area, hosts of the Powder Keg had to do avalanche control holding volunteers from heading to check points and race organizers call on the race. The storm caused white out conditions in 40mph winds. The Powder Keg is the second of three events- Sprint, Powder Keg and Technical Team of Two race that made the first three day SkiMo event in the United States at Brigton Ski Area, Brighton Utah.
