Gerard Garreta, member of the Catalonia and Spainish National SkiMo team who also organizes SkiMo race in Spain, pulling climbing skins off his skis at the top of the 300 vertical foot Sprint course on Friday evening March 8th. This Sprint race included two sections of sknning uphill with one section of boot packing and skiing gates down to the finish. Garreta finished the race in 3:43 The Sprint event was the first of three events- Sprint, Powder Keg and Technical Team of Two race that made the first three day SkiMo event in the United States at Brigton Ski Area, Brighton Utah. Racers came from Spain, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, Ohio, California, Massacusetts, Washington DC, Maine, Rhode Island, and Washington States
